Dried Bay leaves have a delicious deep fragrance and are beautiful and floral, adding a lovely flavour to dishes, particularly slow cooked ones.

They are often used whole in Asian and European dishes (particularly French cuisine, and are important ingredient of Bouquet Garni) such as soups, broths and homemade stock, slow cooked stews, and sauces.
