Sticky Hoisin Pork Fillet
This is such a quick and easy dish to whip up when you're short on time, especially if you've pre-made the hoisin sauce. But even if you haven’t, as long as all ingredients are on hand, it takes no more than 5 min to make the hoisin, then it’s a matter of brushing the meat with the sauce and popping it in the oven. While the meat cooks, get some rice or noodles on and stir fry some veggies you’ve got on hand. Quick and easy to make, impressive to serve and mouthwatering to eat!
We get our pork from our local Esperanza Farm where they ethically and sustainably pasture raise their free range pork. You can taste the difference. You can find them at most of the local farmers markets in the Byron/Lismore region.
Ingredients:
4 Tbs Hoisin Sauce
1 pork fillet (approx. 300g)
Heat oven to 200C. Brush hoisin all over the pork and transfer to a lined baking tray. Roast, basting pork every 7 min, for about 20 min until cooked through. Remove from oven and rest for 5 min. Cut pork into thick slices and serve with noodles or rice and stir fried or steamed veggies. We also love this as one of our toppings on our Brown Rice Congee.
