We’re loving this locally made sugar free, vegan/GF blueberry conserve, from local Lismore resident via France, Pierre of Le Gourmet Nest.
Blueberries have been loved for centuries as being a flavoursome antioxidant powerhouse! In fact they are believed to have one of the highest antioxidant levels of all common fruits and vegetables. They are absolutely loaded in Vitamins C, K and and manganese to quote a few. As for all foods, fresh is best and those blueberries are the best pick of the farm. Having toasted hazelnuts in the conserve gives it another aspect while being sugar free is a must, especially with berries. Containing no refined sugar means you really experience the full flavour of blueberries.
Ask the kids, they love it! Enjoy on buttery toast; with a warm winter porridge or accompanied by a cheese platter, and of course will pair beautifully with Pierre's incredible paté.
